Marcel Odermatt
Product & Program Manager MesoFocus
Marcel Odermatt is Product Manager for X-Ray Modules at Comet X-Ray, responsible for defining and overseeing the development of new technologies and products.
He has a strong background in the electronics industry, in automation and aerospace. Marcel holds an engineer’s degree in Electronics Engineering and certifications in Six Sigma, as Project Management Professional (PMP) and Agile Practitioner.

Tom O’Hare
Technical Fellow
Tom is a Spirit AeroSystems Technical Fellow, has managed materials science, non-destructive evaluation programs and the industrialisation of advanced diagnostic inspection platforms for multiple component types. During his 38+ year engagement in NDT, measurement, material science, fatigue analysis, damage tolerance and fracture mechanics he has been involved with many development, in service and manufacturing programs and has had significant experience in novel metallic, composites, polymers and ceramics.
Tom represents Spirit interests on several NDT national committees (UK and Ireland) that influence special process protocols, specifications and standards. He is the current Chair of the BINDT Technical Committee and participates on NDT Industry 4.0 projects to reduce human factors exposure and the analysis of assisted defect recognition. He maintains his links with academia and research by lecturing and presenting tutorials in local Universities and Colleges regarding NDT and Materials Science as well as being a mentor/industrial supervisor for graduate and post graduate students and projects.

Nathan Elledge
NDT Engineer and Responsible Level 3, Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation
Nathan is in his 20th year of NDT. In his pursuit of excellence, he has served a wide range of industries including Aerospace, Oil and Gas, Construction, Power Generation, and others. He has gained knowledge and experience while continuing to grow skills and talents to make the world a better place. Nathan finds great satisfaction in applying a generalist approach to specialized problems. Among his development achievements are ASNT Level III certifications in ET, MT, PT, RT, UT, and VT; a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Texas at San Antonio; a Master of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from University of Florida; and an endless catalog of lessons learned.

Waruna Seneviratne
Waruna Seneviratne, Ph.D.
Sr. Research Scientist / Director of Advanced Technologies Lab for Aerospace Structures
National Institute for Aviation Research, Wichita State University

Dr. Seneviratne is the director of the Automated Technology Laboratory for Aerospace Structures (ALTAS) at Wichita State University’s National Institute for Aviation Research. He manages a research portfolio that includes projects from the FAA, DoD, DHS, NASA, and aircraft industry in the areas of advanced manufacturing and inspections, durability and damage tolerance, certification, and aging of composite aircraft structures.

He is an active member of Composite Materials Handbook (CMH-17) and his previous research findings have contributed to damage tolerance, disbond delamination, data review, and statistics working groups, and supported world-wide composite damage tolerance and maintenance workshops sponsored by FAA, USN, and EASA.

Prior to joining Wichita State, Dr. Seneviratne worked as a Stress Analyst for Airbus in Wichita and was responsible for performing detailed stress analysis on the Airbus A380 passenger aircraft wings per FAA and EASA regulations and preparation of certification documents
