Creating a system from a specification is not just about meeting the basic requirements, to create a truly high performing system, the design must be optimised for efficiency of throughput and reliability.

In this Seminar we will evaluate an example application, utilising the Automation1 machine control platform and consider its key criteria, showing how this influences the system architecture. We will demonstrate the methods used to evaluate motion technology with respect to the production process and how to achieve close integration and synchronisation. From the definition of the basic process architecture we will also discuss the needs of operator and machine interfacing.
