Supporting special educational needs in settings
Many early years settings are reporting a rise in the number of children presenting with additional needs, especially after the Covid-19 lockdowns.
Alongside the more well-known diagnoses for SEN (Autism, ADHD etc), practitioners describe children needing additional support with things like personal, social and emotional development and their speech and language. Indeed 1.9 million children are now currently estimated to struggle with their speech and language according to Speech and Language UK.

In this webinar, sponsored by YPO, our expert panellists will offer practical advice and guidance for practitioners and nursery leaders about how best to support the children in their care.
The panel will discuss:
• What they are seeing in their settings.
• Ways in which practitioners can create an inclusive environment in settings, both indoors and outdoors.
• How best to support staff on the ground, and provide them with the skills and knowledge needed.
• How to work with parents to support their child to flourish.
The hour-long webinar will take place from 12:15pm to 1:15pm on Tuesday 19th November.
