Alice has confidently been fertility testing both dairy and beef bulls for several years and aims to share many of the practical tips and advice that she has picked up during this time. She will talk about how to prepare your equipment to get the best results, and how to ensure you can rely on your findings, by avoiding common artefacts. She will also discuss common morphological abnormalities and what they mean, helping you with your final assessment and diagnosis.

Alice has always been a farm animal vet in Dorset since qualifying from Bristol in 2009. Her professional interests are in cattle fertility, particularly heifer breeding, bull fertility and infectious disease control. Alice also enjoys teaching DIY AI and calving courses. In 2018 Alice graduated with the DBR and worked towards gaining Advanced Veterinary Practitioner status in Bovine Reproduction. Alice joined the BCVA board in 2020 and enjoys her responsibilities contributing to board matters. Alice is keen to engage with students and has a particular interest in supporting them in perusing careers in farm animal practice. Alice became a qualified mental health first aider in 2020 to help promote mental health awareness and offer support to both colleagues and farmers alike.
