Lily Taft, CFA
Portfolio Manager
Lily adds depth and a data-driven mindset to our team’s portfolio management and research process. She brings a client-centric attitude to work every day, where she serves on the Investment Policy Committee, analyzing client-specific asset allocations, sector exposures, and security selections. Lily is also actively involved in decision-making related to managing, executing, and implementing trading strategies. In addition, Lily reviews and monitors daily updates and news from the firm’s outside research partners. Lily also leads our firm’s ESG (Environmental, Sustainable, and Governance) research efforts.
Lily is a CFA charter holder, a highly regarded designation and distinction in the investment profession. She is an active member of the CFA San Francisco Society and participates in various regional investment clubs. Her previous experience includes work with Shelton Capital Management and Main Street Research, where she started as an intern while in college. A graduate of Tulane University’s A. B. Freeman School of Business, Lily earned her Bachelor of Science Management in Finance and Management. She co-authored several Burkenroad Reports during her tenure, which covered companies under-followed by Wall Street. While a student at Tulane, Lily also served as an active member of the Darwin Fenner Student Managed Fund, which allocated capital to invest on behalf of Tulane’s $1.3 Billion Endowment.
Outside the office, Lily enjoys skiing, hiking, and any opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, especially in Lake Tahoe. Lily is based out of our headquarters in Sausalito, CA.
CFA Disclosure: The Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation requires the holder to pass three six-hour exams, possess a bachelor's degree (or equivalent, as assessed by CFA institute) and have 48 months of qualified, professional work experience.
