About
The declining proportion of Christians in Australia has dominated much of the public discussion about religion in recent years. Below these surface headlines, however, there is a more nuanced picture of Australia’s religious identity.

This new research seeks to equip Christian leaders with an understanding of the movements towards and away from Christianity in Australia. Insights have been gathered from two key sources: the Australian Census Longitudinal Data Set (ACLD) and a national survey of 3,000 Australians conducted by McCrindle. The ACLD uses data from the Census of Population and Housing to build a rich research tool for exploring how Australian society changes over time.

Join us for this virtual event. You'll get insights on:

- The undercurrents and movements toward and away from faith
- Reasons people change their religious identity
- Australia's surprising converts
