Sharing an inclusive yoga environment and as a way to cope through mindfulness.
This 50-min class is full of heart-opening empowering postures to welcome self-love and compassion and assist in coping with racial injustice, systematic oppression and #beingblack.
"Due to recent events, I found it essential to create a class dedicated to not only those affected by COVID-19, but also our ancestors who were forcibly enslaved, all of our brothers and sisters who have been impacted by a criminal justice and social system that was designed to hurt us, and for George Floyd and all the Black lives who are being lynched in our present day. As Black people, we are overwhelmed with anxiety and collective trauma within a world that was not made for us to thrive. But we have survived the hardest of hardships through these centuries because we are the most resilient people of the world. This is Yoga for Resilience.
May this class bring moments of peace safety and strength.
