Starting a Software Company with Little Money and No Technical Skills

In this webinar, recent Northwestern graduate Ben Weiss will discuss his experience starting a company while being a Northwestern undergraduate student. By connecting with a strong team and receiving support from Northwestern’s startup resources, Ben documents how he turned his vision into a real product that is currently used by numerous Division 1 football programs. Ben will also talk about the challenges associated with pursuing a startup upon graduating from Northwestern and what he has learned through his entrepreneurial journey.

Headshot.be Ben Weiss '17 Ben Weiss is nearly a recent Northwestern alum (class of 2017) and the founder of Zcruit, a platform to help college football teams improve recruiting efficiency through predictive analytics. Zcruit was named one of 10 Illinois Student Startups Set to Make Moves in 2017 by Chicago Inno and was recognized as one of the five most outstanding student startups at the 2017 EntrepreneurshipU Awards. Ben is a 2017 Future Founders Fellow and has plans to pursue Zcruit full-time after graduating from Northwestern in June with degrees in Economics and Learning and Organizational Change.
