Reshaping the Face of Design will be an educational and informative session exploring the hurdles, challenges, as well as success stories, for achieving a more diverse design community through the educational process for Black and minority children and young adults. We will showcase programs currently in Austin, Texas, through E4 Youth, as well as ACE and Pencil Partner programs in Nashville, Tennessee. We will also see how our local colleges and universities are changing how they recruit Black and minority students as well as lead discussions and create programs and classes around opportunity, inclusivity, and awareness in the design field.
