Working towards more equitable systems to empower Black and other disinvested communities to have generational health and wealth. I help organizations and people move towards equitable systems change by first listening and then investing into communities to improve their health. I come from a multicultural background with a focus on public health, health equity, systems change, community empowerment, social determinants of health, and media.
At the Trust, we are working towards equitable systems change through thriving communities, thriving residents, equitable access to care and health outcomes across North Carolina.

Dr. Strickland holds her DrPH in Behavioral Health & Health Education. She has experience working on the state department of health level, the federal level and working within private organizations. Dr. Strickland has been a career coach for the past 5 years, assisting professionals with navigating their career after college. She recently launched the Public Health Club, which provides career and consulting assistance for public health professionals!
