Ali Sadoughi, MD, is Director of Interventional Pulmonology and Bronchoscopy and Associate Professor of Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center-Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Dr. Sadoughi performs advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients with lung nodules/masses, intra-thoracic lymphadenopathy, pleural diseases, central and peripheral airway obstruction, severe asthma, etc.

He is an expert in peripheral airway bronchoscopy and has a research focus in development of advanced technologies for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes in peripheral lung lesions including robotic bronchoscopy, 3D imaging in bronchoscopy, live cellular and metabolic imaging in bronchoscopy.

He utilizes EBUS-TBNA, radial EBUS, and peripheral diagnostic solutions to diagnose and stage lung cancer, using these tools for both real time navigation and confirmation during bronchoscopy. Dr. Sadoughi provides a model of practice with attention on lowering direct cost of advanced procedures and health care systems burden while keeping the quality of bronchoscopy at the top of the current available technologies.
