Eddie Misrahi joined Apax Partners in 1991 as a Partner, responsible for investments in the Tech & Telecom sector. He carried out many investments to support young, innovative companies as well as more mature companies in growth financing and buy-out transactions. He became Managing Director of Apax Partners in 2007 and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in 2010.

He started his career at McKinsey & Company in Paris, before working in the USA for a telecommunications firm.

Carmela Mondino

Head of ESG & Sustainability @ Partners Group

Carmela is a sustainability professional with vast experience in multidisciplinary and culturally challenging projects. She's currently making the world better, integrating environmental, social and governance topics into investments in her current role at Partners Group.

Prior to joining Partners Group, she has worked in the energy sector.

Merrick McKay

Head of Europe @ Aberdeen Standard Investments

Merrick heads the European Private Equity team within the Private Markets division of Aberdeen Standard Investments (“ASI”), and is based in its Edinburgh and London offices. With European AuM of €8bn, ASI’s private equity activities include making primary commitments, secondary fund investments and co-investments for clients and pooled funds, undertaken by a European team of 25 investment professionals. Merrick sits on the Investment Committee for all European mandates as well as the overall Portfolio Construction Management Committee, and is responsible for relationship management with a number of key clients.

Merrick is a member of Invest Europe’s Limited Partner Council, an Advisory Board member of numerous funds, and a regular speaker at private equity conferences.

Byron E. Loflin

Global Head of Board Engagement @ Nasdaq

Byron Loflin is the Global Head of Board Engagement at Nasdaq, where he leads the Board Engagement team in providing a strategic, collaborative, and technology-based approach to support boards’ efforts in strengthening governance effectiveness.

The portfolio of governance services and products includes a variety of board, CEO, and management evaluations, streamlined Directors’ and Officers’ Questionnaire and pre-proxy disclosure processes, and the Nasdaq Boardvantage board portal.

Byron is the founder and former CEO of the Center for Board Excellence (CBE), which was acquired by Nasdaq in 2019. His experience and expertise are in the design and administration of evaluations, as well as advising boards, board chairs, CEOs, and executive management on board strategy.
