Blood cancers include leukaemia, myeloma and lymphoma and are the fifth most common cancer in the UK.
Whilst many leukaemias present acutely, lymphoma and myeloma can be more difficult to diagnose. Early diagnosis in primary care is key to helping patients get treatment and improve survival outcomes.
With GatewayC we’re hosting a free interactive, Q&A style webinar with Dr Fenella Willis on blood cancers.
The webinar will increase your knowledge in how to recognise symptoms that require investigation like bone pain, fractures, shortness of breath and fatigue, as well as risk factors for developing blood cancer. It will also help you implement effective safety netting strategies as well as talking through key investigations you can refer your patient for to support early diagnosis. The webinar will give practical advice on how to interpret blood test results and the importance of a full blood count.
