Using Conscious Communication to Turn Toxic Conflict into Collaborative Gold (Session #2)

About This Webinar

Conflict is a necessary part of innovation, agility, and collaboration. Associated with a negative connotation as something to be avoided, at its core, conflict is about the passionate collaboration toward the best possible outcome. What makes conflict complicated is our psychology, emotions, and needs. A prerequisite to successfully leading others is our ability to lead ourselves, which starts with the agility to understand our feelings and the responsibility to meet our needs.

Agenda
  • How our unmet needs for safety, security, and belonging can trigger feelings that drive unproductive conflict or peace-faking behaviors.
  • Identify core needs, emotional triggers, and the behaviors that challenge our ability to work towards the best possible results.
  • A framework for leading with empathy and compassion to mitigate unproductive emotions and conflict and foster psychological safety.
  • Explore the dynamic and unrelenting interplay between our needs and feelings and how to integrate emotionally intelligent leadership into teams and organizations.
