We will discuss the real prospects of the commercial and industrial (C&I) market in Saudi Arabia and present virtuous business cases showing the path for future development.
JinkoSolar’s Technical Service Manager, Edgard Abou Kheir, will present an evaluation of the potential levelized cost of energy (LCOE) of C&I projects in the Saudi market, as well across other Middle Eastern countries, and the factors that affect the return on investment (ROI). He will also discuss the results coming form two field tests the company is operating in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, with different type of solar cell technologies being compared under different weather and environmental conditions.
The C&I sector has considerable potential in the Middle East, with and without storage, not only due to the country’s high solar radiation levels but also thanks to the current trajectory of PV module and battery prices, which are constantly decreasing. On the other hand, Saudi companies are looking for effective ways to improve their carbon footprint while optimizing energy consumption.
Content of the webinar:
Evolution of the electricity market in Saudi Arabia and forecasts for the addition of photovoltaic capacities over the next years.
How current legislation may be improved to further support the segment.
Case studies of photovoltaic plants in C&I with and without storage.
