About
Every step in the design of a PV power plant demands a high level of precision. Seemingly small actions can have major consequences once their effect is multiplied out over the system’s operational lifetime.

Cabling is a case in point. Long cable runs can cause voltage loss, and compensating for that with larger cable dimensions comes at a cost. PVcase has developed a new solution to calculate expected voltage drop in different PV cable configurations. The solution is available as part of its planning software for ground mount PV systems. The feature provides a solution for engineers who are often forced to use external tools and work on assumptions earlier in project development. This not only leads to time loss but also increases the risk of errors. By offering increased accuracy and reducing the likelihood of costly mistakes, the feature streamlines the process and enhances reliability.

In this pv magazine Webinar, Ana Conde, Head of product marketing at PVcase, and Alvaro Hurtado, Senior product manager at PVcase, will demonstrate how their company’s software can manage every stage of a PV project’s development, and treat us to a closer look at the new feature for cable sizing and voltage drop calculations.

pv magazine Webinar content:
● Common pain points in PV system design
● Impact of inaccuracies in voltage drop calculations and wire sizing on system performance
● Introduction to voltage drop calculations in the ground mount tool: How it works and key benefits
● Q&A

Questions can be submitted beforehand or during the webinar through a chat window. Mark Hutchions, magazine director, will be the moderator of this webinar.

Registration for this pv magazine Webinar is free of charge.
