About
Understanding what underpins optimal PV performance is critical to a long-lasting, valuable operation of solar assets. Streamlining the processes of field forensics and analysis, underperformance attribution alongside action planning, as well as solutions engineering can unlock greater performance for the long-term operation of PV.

Forensic analysis provides a wide range of insights, from performance history to soiling, from weather events to wash cycles, and many more. Through testing, tracing and inspection, field forensics can help plant owners make better use of their solar assets.

Backed by forensics, action planning services allow asset operators to attribute underperformance, and then navigate remediation, cost estimation, implementation scheduling, as well as warranty and insurance issues.

In this pv magazine Webinar, we will learn about field forensics and forensic analysis and discuss the process of action planning, underperformance attribution, and solutions engineering. Dr. Ralph Romero, Senior Managing Director of Infrastructure Modernization at Black and Veatch, will explain the role of forensic analysis in better managing solar assets in a distributed infrastructure. Joining him is Daniel Chang, Vice President of Business Development at RETC, presenting RETC’s forensics and lab service as a “one-stop shop” for understanding PV performance.
