Energy storage systems can bring real value to residential PV system owners, whether through a ramp-up of self-consumption, using the rooftop array’s power for EV charging, or even for back-up power supply. Whatever the reasons for installing a storage system, the market is hot right now, and according to the latest Navigant Research data, distributed storage will grow nearly twentyfold over the next eight years.
Reason enough to look into system design and choosing the right inverter. This webinar, alongside initiative partner Fronius, will share some observations on the U.S. market’s development and explain how these observations influenced the company in developing its latest residential inverter.
The Gen24 Plus is a hybrid inverter or DC coupled system. Such inverters allow multiple energy flows into the battery and the household at the same time. The clue; such a system setup does not require an extra battery inverter.
If customers are required to install PV and are not in favor of buying a storage system at the same time, the hybrid inverter can be an excellent choice. Marc Inniss, National technical sales advisor at Fronius, will explain how the Gen24 Primo can be used to easily retrofit a storage system and the overall system size can be upscaled without having to change the inverter.
We will also be joined by Michael Mills-Price, Head of Inverter and Energy Storage Business, PV Evolution Labs, who will discuss the pro’s and con’s of AC and DC coupled energy storage systems, including the operation, efficiency, resiliency, and overall expectations and capabilities of the systems when connected in these manners.
Join our webinar, and understand the criteria inverter manufactures must meet, where we are now and what we must do to achieve the next level.
