Initiative partner: ABB
The utility-scale solar marketplace is in stiff competition, and projects must get more optimized and efficient. Last year saw the first announcements of projects prompting a below $0.02/kWh bid. To be able to compete, high power density long lasting and serviceable products with high efficiency are indispensable targets supporting market price needs.
Increasing the inverters DC input voltage and saving on the DC home run cabling are two ways to achieve such system optimization. Both can be made using 1500Vdc central inverter setups.
Why is a 1500Vdc architecture better suited to achieve ever lower LCOE’s? What are the advantages of 3 level ANPC topology/advanced 3-level power conversion topology? In this webinar, we will answer these and many other questions with our initiative partner ABB. Jyrki Leppänen, market manager of utility segment, and Marko Harju, head of product management for central inverters, from ABB, will explain why it is essential to look at different inverter topologies of central inverters.
Join our webinar to understand the technical aspects that are enabling the positive impact on Capex, Opex and reliable plant performance, and gain insights on how inverter design and capabilities impact the total LCOE of a PV Project.
Webinar content:
• Bigger power block sizes enabling more cost-efficient plant design
• How advanced 3-level inverter topology modulating up to 1500VDC helps delivering high efficiency with no voltage derating at high altitudes and brings benefits also for battery energy solutions
• How a hybrid cooling concept based on two-phase thermosiphon (patented) and forced air-cooling technology minimizes maintenance requirements and maximizes reliability
• Technology enabled reduced Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE)
