We all set ourselves aims and goals in our lives, whilst "Life" always manages to throw various challenges and curve balls our way, seemingly when we are least prepared for it and at just the wrong time!

How have YOU felt on failing at something in YOUR life? How do YOU approach managing YOUR mindset? Do YOU struggle when mistakes are made and you fail at something? Do YOU struggle to move forward?

On Saturday 12th June, founder of Talk mental Health, Nick Wilson set off on a huge challenge, which would see him undertaking a gigantic 385mile cycle ride, to raise awareness of Men's Mental Health and Suicide, whilst fundraising for a new and unique, self-help wellbeing tool, to be developed.

Due to high temperatures, Nick's increasing pain levels and a road traffic incident involving his support rider, Keith Bunnett, which destroyed his bike, failed to achieve their goal and only travelled 225miles.

Since then, the 385challenge has grown and morphed into something else, with a possibility of it being so much better, with the aims remaining the same and they will be completing the final 160miles in September.

How do you "embrace failure" though? Have positives come from your mistakes and failures? What mindset do you need to have and how do you turn such a disappointing negative into an exciting opportunity?

Nick Wilson is an Army Veteran turned Mental Health Expert through lived experience, Public Speaker on; Mental Health, Chronic Pain and Living With A Mental Illness and Founder of men's support group, Talk Mental Health.
