In June's In Conversation webinar we will be joined by Dr Llinos Jones, who is a Consultant Respiratory Physician with a specialist interest in asthma and Clinical Lead for Physician Associates at Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust.

Llinos is passionate about tackling health Inequalities and has created a number of fantastic multilingual resources in order to support asthma patients. During this webinar Llinos will talk to us about how we can improve our patients care and understanding by overcoming cultural and language barriers.

These informal and interactive sessions are tailored to healthcare professionals who are new to PCRS - you'll have the opportunity to learn more about the work of PCRS and the benefits of becoming a member as well as the chance to connect with other respiratory-interested professionals.

Katherine qualified from Leeds University in 2000. She originally did a Medicine Rotation acquiring her MRCP before settling into General Practice. Since qualifying she has worked as a Locum GP and as a Partner and is now enjoying life as a salaried GP. Over the years Katherine has developed a keen interest in Respiratory medicine and is Respiratory Lead for West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership. She also works extensively with the Priamry Care Respiratory Society. Outside of work Katherine spends most of her time running around after her three small children. She also enjoys cooking and baking and has recently rediscovered her love for singing and joined a choir.

Dr Llinos Jones is a Consultant Respiratory Physician with a Specialist interest in Asthma and is the Clinical Lead for Physician Associates at Midyorkshire NHS Trust. She studied at Nottingham, and moved to Leeds to complete her postgraduate Specialist training and her Masters in Clinical Education. She has a keen interest in Medical Education, and helped set up the British Thoracic Society e-learning platform. Since setting up a multidisciplinary Difficult Asthma service in Dewsbury, she’s become keen to help address Health Inequalities, and over the last few years has worked to create a variety of multilingual and multimedia resources for asthma patients. She has founded a national repository with the Respiratory Futures team for these, and continues to work towards improving inclusivity and our understanding of the cultural aspects of asthma care.
