Three Paths, Many Possibilities
About TED
TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world.
What is the TED Institute?
The TED Institute is an immersive program offering the world’s most dynamic corporations and foundations a transformative engagement platform that impacts their entire ecosystem — from employees to partners to clients. The goal of the program is to inject TED’s inventive creative process for idea sourcing and sharing into a partner’s organization. Drawing on the same rigorous regimen that has prepared speakers for the TED main stage, the TED Institute collaborates with partners — like
PMI — to identify internal ideators, inventors, and creators, and provides them with intensive one-on-one speaker coaching and talk development. The year-long partnership culminates in an event curated, produced, and filmed by TED, featuring the organization’s own speakers onstage showcasing the best ideas in business and beyond.
The resulting library of valuable TED Talks has the power to spur innovation, transform organizations, and encourage a new generation of thought leaders around the world.
