SAME Environmental COI IGE Project Webinar: A Reintroduction to PFAS

PFAS impacts from the historical use of aqueous film forming foam are widespread and affect many aspects of the function and future of our military bases. However, the amount of information about PFAS available can be overwhelming. This is the first in a series of presentations that will distill the vast amount of information into digestible quantities and focus on what you need to know. This webinar will provide a baseline understanding of PFAS and cover the “what, when, where, why, and now what.”

Learning Objectives
1) Learn about the SAME Environmental COI PFAS Industry-Government Engagement project to providing learning resources for DOD personnel to understand the PFAS issue better.
2) Learn about PFAS history of use, nomenclature, chemistry, and regulation.
3) Get introduced to sampling, analysis, mobility, risk assessment, and treatment.
