PFAS impacts from the use of Aqueous Film Forming Foam are widespread and affect many aspects of the function and future of our military bases, but the amount of information about PFAS can be overwhelming. This is the third presentation in a series distilling current PFAS information into digestible packets focusing on key need-to-know information. This webinar will provide attendees with an understanding of the DOD response to PFAS concerns in the context of federal and state regulations. Because the future of PFAS regulations is evolving, the presentation will also share what non-DOD organizations are doing in the United States to influence how PFAS are managed in the future.
Learning Objectives:
• Learn about the SAME ECOI PFAS Industry-Government Engagement (IGE) project to providing learning resources for DOD personnel to better understand PFAS and DOD.
• Learn about the evolving regulations (Federal and State) for PFAS and how non-DOD organizations are interacting with regulators.
• Obtain a foundation in communicating around current DOD PFAS efforts for drinking water and the environment, and hear about what else to anticipate
