Managing Director, Head of Talent and Workforce Strategy for Global Technology and CIB Digital & Platform Services, J.P. Morgan
Alison is responsible for the development and implementation of a future-focused talent strategy across Global Technology and CIB, Digital and Platform Services at JPMorgan Chase to ensure a highly adaptive workforce able to anticipate and adopt emergence of new technology capabilities, process methodologies and architectural constructs. She is leading evolution of technology workforce management practices across a range of dimensions, including talent acquisition & development, continuous learning, diversity & inclusion, organization and operating model design, culture and conduct, manager effectiveness and performance management.
Work experience at JPMC: Previously, Alison was Head of Strategy & Governance for Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Technology, which is JPMC’s largest LOB-aligned technology organization, comprising 15K staff globally and $3.5B annual budget, delivering complex solutions at scale for the Markets, Investor Services and Banking businesses. In this role, Alison had leadership responsibility for technology strategy, workforce transformation, vendor optimization, CIO enablement and organizational engagement. She also transformed technology portfolio governance practices to increase transparency into business benefits from technology investment, prioritizing opportunities to simplify CIB’s technology estate, eliminate duplication and create operating leverage.
Alison is a distinctively versatile leader given her breadth of international experience and is highly adaptable in managing change given her depth of cultural awareness, having spent several years working in New York, London and Asia Pacific. She joined JPMorgan Chase in 2012, moving to Hong Kong to take on a change program management role to lead re-organization of Production & Infrastructure Management technology functions in Asia in alignment with firm-wide business integration.
Previous work experience & Education: Prior to joining JPMorgan Chase, Alison was CAO for Enterprise Infrastructure Technology at Morgan Stanley based in New York, with responsibilities including financial management, workforce strategy, operating model transformation, business unit reporting and stakeholder management, project governance & portfolio management, competitive benchmarking and communications. Alison started her career in the UK. Before joining Morgan Stanley in London in 2002, she worked in consultancy and technology management roles within eProcurement, CRM and supply chain management industries. Alison holds a BSc in International Business with German from the University of Warwick.
Current location and personal background information: Alison now resides in London and enjoys international travel, often exploring windy coastal venues as an avid kitesurfing enthusiast.
