Dr Waseem Afzal is a faculty member of the School of Information Studies at Charles Sturt University, Australia. His research seeks to understand the relationship between information and human behavior and focuses on 1) the role of information in shaping cognition, emotions, and feelings; and 2) the effects of information experiences on mindfulness. Dr Afzal’s research also explores the theoretical, conceptual, and methodological frameworks that can be used to advance information behavior research to address emerging economic, environmental, and health issues.
