At Microsoft, Anand is the General Manager, Cloud Supply Chain Sustainability. His group focuses on innovations across the supply chain in support of Microsoft’s commitment to a sustainable, carbon negative future.
Previously he was the Managing Director, Asset Recovery at Sims Recycling Solutions. Offering an unparalleled range of services globally, Sims Recycling Solutions is the world’s leading electric and electronic asset disposition and recycling company.
Anand is also co-founder of Voxiva, Inc., a leading provider of mobile health services, and served on its Board of Directors. Voxiva was recognized by Fast Company as one of the 50 most innovative companies in the world.
Anand was also the founding Chief Technology Officer of j2 Global Communications, a leading global cloud services provider (Nasdaq: JCOM), serving several million customers through a network across 50 countries.
Prior to j2, he worked with IBM, at the Thomas J. Watson Research Center, New York on various innovations in information and communication systems.
Anand has numerous patents, publications and innovations in various applications of Information technology, Communications, Healthcare services, Business and Consumer cloud services, and has advised many global organizations on various aspects of technology, markets, strategy and sustainability.
Anand has served on various non-profit boards and advisories, including the Grameen Foundation, and the Simha Foundation, focusing on issues related to poverty alleviation, education, health and environmental issues in underserved communities.
