Jenny Aszman Bologno, LMSW

Jenny Aszman, LMSW, is a dedicated social worker, program manager, and community builder with a focus on enhancing responses to domestic and interpersonal violence. Jenny most recently served as the Statewide Family Justice Center Coordinator for the Georgia Criminal Justice Coordinating Council from 2020-2022. In this role, she provided invaluable training and technical assistance to developing Family Justice Centers across the state, contributing significantly to the improvement of support systems for victims. Jenny held a pivotal role at the Georgia Commission on Family Violence as Program Manager (2016-2020), where she spearheaded numerous statewide initiatives and multidisciplinary training programs. Notably, she coordinated the Georgia Domestic Violence Fatality Review Project (2012-2016), demonstrating her commitment to understanding and addressing the complexities of domestic violence. Jenny's academic background includes a Master of Social Work specializing in community partnerships from Georgia State University, complemented by dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Social Work and Women's Studies from the University of Georgia. She is an alumna of the Georgia Women’s Policy Institute fellowship and has been recognized for her contributions with an Inspiration Award by Health Magazine. Jenny has shared her expertise as an Instructor in the School of Social Work for the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University. She has provided training for esteemed organizations including the National Organization for Victim Assistance, the National Domestic Violence Fatality Review Initiative, the Battered Women’s Justice Project, the Georgia Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers, and the Georgia's Statewide Annual Family Violence Conference.
