Brett Mufson is President and a partner of Fontainebleau Development As a seasoned professional with extensive high-profile expertise in the worlds of real estate acquisitions and development, Brett Mufson brings insightful leadership to all Fontainebleau divisions. He is the key team member in charge of directing the firm’s overall strategy when it comes to building brands and experiences that meet the rigorous standards for which Fontainebleau-affiliated businesses are known. To that end, Brett leads all investment, finance, and operational activities while also paying close attention to consumer trends, market conditions, and unique opportunities that lead to enhanced stakeholder value.

Prior to his time with Fontainebleau Development, Brett served as Head of Acquisitions and Capital Markets for Witkoff, a private real estate and development company based out of New York City with offices in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Miami. During his tenure there, Brett honed his talent for managing large portfolios, successfully leading more than $7 billion in development and real property transactions across multiple competitive sectors – including hospitality, gaming, residential, multi-family, and office/commercial. Prior to this position, Brett started his career at Bear Stearns in their mortgage structured products group focusing on highly complex conduit originations and real estate financings. After Bear, Brett joined LoanCore Capital, a privately held asset management firm focused on commercial real estate credit, where he was responsible for originating, structuring, and underwriting commercial real estate loans across the country.

Brett is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where he focused on Finance and Real Estate. His professional affiliations include board positions with Current Real Estate Advisors – a cutting-edge real estate leasing and marketing firm; and Gibson Avenue Capital – a value-oriented real estate investment firm specializing in acquisitions of residential, retail, and office assets. In addition to his direct work with real estate, Brett also remains actively involved in the community through his work and relationships with a number of charitable organizations. These include the Whitney Museum, Mount Sinai Hospital, and the New York Private Equity Network (NYPEN), as well as other non-profits in various fields.
