Carmen Daniel, MPH is Director for Child Health and Wellness at the Georgia Department of Public Health where she manages Georgia Shape, the state’s childhood obesity initiative for children 0 – 18 years of age. Prior to transitioning to Child Health at DPH, as a Certified Worksite Wellness Program Manager, Ms. Daniel oversaw the agency’s Worksite Wellness efforts for state and district employees. Before joining DPH, she worked in various areas of clinical research. She has her BS in Kinesiology/Health Sciences from The College of William and Mary and MPH in Behavioral Science/Health Education from Emory University.
