Sammy D. Hall Jr. has been a Staff Attorney with Georgia Legal Services Program for five years. Originally from Wrightsville, GA, he attended Georgia Southern University for his undergraduate studies and Mercer Law School for graduate studies. At Mercer Law, he earned a Certificate in Advanced Legal Writing, Research, & Drafting. Even during law school, Sammy knew he was passionate about working in legal services for low income, rural Georgians. He interned at Georgia Legal Services Program in Savannah and Macon during each of his Summers during law school. He now resides in Macon, GA where he handles a large number of domestic violence cases. In court for Temporary Protective Orders on a weekly basis, he has represented many DV survivors throughout the 24 counties in the Middle Georgia region. He has presented on the topic of Domestic Violence/Temporary Protective Orders to local teens at Teen Maze events. In additional to his DV work, he currently serves at the Union Chair for GLSP’s chapter of The National Organization of Legal Services Workers (NOSLW).
