Laura Meier-Schmitz
Laura Meier-Schmitz is an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and the owner of Mulberry Business Solutions. Her passion for supporting and encouraging entrepreneurs is so strong that it also inspired her husband to leave his corporate job to explore his own small business dreams. Now between owning two businesses and raising two kids together, you could say that they are “adulting without a net”.
When Laura was just 17 years old, she was named one of the top 5 Outstanding Young Adults by the Minnesota Women of Today, and her focus on community has only grown since then. Laura is an active volunteer with the League of Women Voters, the Girl Scouts, the Junior League of Minneapolis, and serves on the Economic Development Commission for her city. The main themes of her volunteering center around supporting education, the development of women, preserving our access to democracy through voting, and encouraging vibrant economic diversity.
After completing the Done In A Day program, Laura was able to launch her VIP Accounting Overhaul in a Day program and the new business model has completely changed the trajectory for her business. This year, she has taken the skills and experience from Done in a Day to also create her Profit Advisory Program. Both of these intensive offerings are focused on helping business owners become more informed and engage more deeply with the wealth of knowledge that can be found in their own accounting records so that they can use them as a tool for growth…no longer a source of stress or fear.
