Dr. Kaja J. Fietkiewicz is academic counsel (postdoc) and head of the Information Science Department at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf in Germany. Her research interests revolve around human-computer interaction as well as ethical and legal consequences of digital development. Her current research concerns information behavior on social media, information law, and health and fitness tracking technologies. Kaja has written over 50 articles and co-authored a book on the knowledge society. She organized and (co-)chaired several sessions on international conferences (e.g. HICSS, HCII). She participated in the panel discussion at the ASIS&T AM 2018 on Challenges for Social Media: Misinformation, Free Speech, Civic Engagement, and Data Regulations.
