Megan Pulsts is a Senior Attorney with Georgia Legal Services Program in the Piedmont Regional Office, which serves 19 counties south and west of the 5 Atlanta counties served by Atlanta Legal Aid. She has practiced almost exclusively in family law since she joined GLSP in 2016, assisting survivors with protective orders and all types of family law cases. She also has assisted with special education, housing, and public benefits matters. Prior to coming to GLSP, Megan was a public defender in rural Georgia for six years, serving in juvenile and superior courts, and helped start a mental health treatment court. As a student, Megan interned with the Federal Defender and Atlanta Legal Aid, and was a student attorney with the Barton Juvenile Defender Clinic at Emory. Megan earned her BA from Georgia State University and her JD from Emory University School of Law. She served for 8 years on the City Council of Pine Lake, the smallest city in DeKalb County, fosters dogs from LifeLine shelter, and enjoys kayaking and travel.
