BBC Sky at Night Magazine Masterclass, The Art of Solar Imaging

About This Solar Imaging Series

Our nearest star, the Sun, is more active now than it has been for the past decade as it approaches solar maximum, but its brightness makes it a challenging target to photograph.

Our expert talks will show you how to work with the Sun’s intense light in safety, and capture the effects of solar maximum, when sunspots, flares and prominences are at their most abundant – and when the beautiful night-time effect we owe to the Sun, the aurora, can be visible more often.

In the second part of each of the Masterclasses, there is a Q&A with the Masterclass speaker.

All registrants will have access to the Masterclass recording once the event has ended and will be able to watch this recording for a maximum of 10 times.

Save 24% when you purchase a series ticket and get access to all three Masterclasses in The Art of Solar Imaging Series, or pay £17.50 per individual Masterclass event.
