(ICIOT 2024) Research and Application of Distributed Energy Storage Monitoring System Based on Plug-And-Play Protocols

About This Webinar

The distributed energy storage system encompasses an extensive array of devices, communication protocols, and monitoring requirements. Owing to the multiplicity of these elements, attaining protocol adjustment and effective monitoring of the system has emerged as a pressing concern. To address the issue of energy storage protocol self-adaptation, a plug-and-play protocol mechanism has been formulated based on the Modbus protocol, which strengthens the protocol parsing and adaptation layer, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency of the system. In parallel, the communication network design of the distributed energy storage monitoring system has been implemented, and the upstream and downstream protocol processing flow has been described in detail. The distributed energy storage monitoring system, founded on the system architecture designed by this approach, has the ability to realize protocol conversion and self-adaptation, as well as to communicate with inverters of different brands and models. Finally, the photovoltaic (PV) energy storage system is presented as an exemplar of the energy storage monitoring program for both existing and new users. The energy storage monitoring module with the fusion terminal unit can unlock the energy storage and distribution network Internet of Things (IoT), thereby enabling comprehensive monitoring of energy storage, group regulation, and group control.

Building the Modern Services Industry
The Services Society (S2) is a non-profit professional organization that has been created to promote worldwide research and technical collaboration in services innovations among academia and industrial professionals. Its members are volunteers from industry and academia with common interests. S2 is registered in the USA as a "501(c) organization", which means that it is an American tax-exempt nonprofit organization. S2 collaborates with other professional organizations to sponsor or co-sponsor conferences and to promote an effective services curriculum in colleges and universities. The S2 initiates and promotes a "Services University" program worldwide to bridge the gap between industrial needs and university instruction. The Services Society has formed 10 Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to support technology and domain specific professional activities.
