Dr. William Hughes
Urologist
Dr. William Hughes is a board-certified urologist performing surgical procedures at Singing River Gulfport and seeing patients at Urology Associates in Gulfport.

Dr. Hughes is a compassionate urologist who values both treating and educating his patients. He earned a Bachelor of Science in both Genetics and Biology from the University of Georgia. He continued on to complete his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia. After graduating, he completed a general surgery internship and urology residency training at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA.

Dr. Hughes’s surgical training emphasized minimally invasive surgical techniques and robotic procedures. He is proficient across all areas of general urology with a passion for treating urologic cancers, stone disease, and sexual dysfunction. He has ample experience with implant surgery for both erectile dysfunction and urinary incontinence.

During his residency training, he published several papers and videos about advanced robotic surgical techniques. He is passionate about providing individualized healthcare and has published on healthcare disparities among African American patients with prostate cancer. Dr. Hughes is a member of the American Urological Association.
