Maize Parents as Teachers is excited to host the KC-based nonprofit organization, Screen Sanity, to educate our Maize families on healthy screen usage. Join us as a presenter from Screen Sanity shares about the negative side effects of screens and how we, as parents, can be proactive in a screen-heavy world. We’re learning right alongside you and are eager to take it all in!
The evening will help parents create a family screen plan based on expert-guided content about digital health. This includes a road-map for introducing your kids to a smartphone and social media—no matter what age or stage your kid is at in the process. The content is designed for adults only, but will give you practical ways you can talk to your kids about this topic.
In order to participate in this workshop, you must have a child enrolled in the Maize School District. Please also note that this is a Parent/Guardian-only workshop—due to our capacity maximum, we are unable to accommodate space for children.
