ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
EDOs must create new jobs in response to the economic crisis. The pandemic has caused 21 million to become unemployed and has shut down 22% of businesses, with vulnerable communities hit the hardest. But almost all new jobs come from new businesses. So how can EDOs support entrepreneurial growth in their communities?
This webinar features answers from Victor W. Hwang, an economic growth expert who was recently the VP of Entrepreneurship at the Kauffman Foundation, the world’s leading foundation in entrepreneurship. He has launched a new campaign, Right to Start, to rebuild the American economy by unleashing entrepreneurial opportunity for everyone, regardless of background.
Victor's ideas have shaped the economic lives of millions of people in over 300 communities, cities, companies, and entire countries. He will speak with us about policies and programs to grow economies from the bottom up, working with the existing assets communities already have to unleash entrepreneurial innovation, grow new jobs, and drive recovery.
Victor also is the author of the revolutionary book The Rainforest, a best-seller about how the historical innovation dynamics of Silicon Valley and other ecosystems can be replicated anywhere.
