GOJO CEO
Carey Jaros serves as President and Chief Executive Officer at GOJO Industries. GOJO is a 75-year-old Family Enterprise in Akron, Ohio, a leader in skincare and hygiene solutions and the MAKERS of PURELL™. Most notable PURELL products include PURELL® Instant Hand Sanitizer and Soap, award-winning PURELL® Surface Spray, and PURELL® SMARTLINK IoT-enabled hygiene compliance and smart building solutions. She has led the company’s response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, more than doubling global production nearly overnight across North America and Europe, and quickly scaling the business for ‘new normal’ demand, including initiating a several-hundred-million-dollar capital expansion plan.

In 2016 Jaros transitioned from serving as a non-executive board member of GOJO Industries to Chief Strategy Officer, where she oversaw Marketing and Innovation, and then to Chief Operating Officer in 2018. Jaros was appointed CEO in January 2020. Across all three roles, she has built a track record of developing strategies to improve performance, setting aggressive, data-driven top and bottom line growth targets, and delivering results. At the same time, her growth orientation, passion for innovation that solves real human problems, and love of brands are hallmarks. Jaros has recruited several senior executives and nearly every major function in the business has been restructured during her tenure.

Prior to joining GOJO in an operating role, Jaros served as President of Walnut Ridge Strategic Management Company, the Single Family Office of the Kanfer Family, who own GOJO. There she served as a Board Director of GOJO in addition to managing a portfolio of controlling, direct investments in several smaller operating companies and early stage health tech ventures. Previously, Jaros served as Vice President at Dealer Tire, a large privately held tire distributor which doubled in size during her time there. At Dealer Tire, she led Strategy and Finance, before ultimately holding P&L responsibility for half of the business.

Jaros spent over a decade at Bain & Company, a leading management consulting firm. There she advised private equity and corporate clients on M&A due diligence, growth strategy, and turnarounds -- primarily in the retail, consumer products, and industrials sectors.

In addition to serving as a Board Director for GOJO, Jaros is also an experienced non-executive director, and currently serves as a board member of ACRT Inc., a high-growth middle-market service provider to public utilities, where she is on the compensation and strategy committees. Jaros is also an angel investor and Board Advisor to EdTech startup WISR, and is a Techstars Mentor to startup Aunt Flow. She is also on the ISSA Hygieia Advisory Board, and is a Trustee of the Kelvin and Eleanor Smith Foundation.

Jaros received her AB in Public Policy from Brown University, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and an MBA at Harvard Business School.

She lives in Shaker Heights with her husband, Brett Farmery, and their three daughters.
