The primary computing curriculum can seem daunting and often overwhelming for teachers who do not feel that coding and algorithms are for them. This can lead to a lack of confidence in any use of ICT across the curriculum and ultimately some missed opportunities to use technology to enhance teaching and learning in all areas of the curriculum. It can be a struggle to fit everything in too if trying to teach discrete computing skills. This webinar will look at ways to build up use of technology in school for every year group and every teacher - no matter how scared of the machines they may be! We will look at ways to get going from a standing start, and ways to plan for use of technology which is purposeful and embedded into every day practice. We will include practical ideas and tools to support maths, literacy, science and more…plus some top tips for whole school strategy of technology roll outs and CPD provision.
