Dr. Brittani Barrett-Harlow graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience and behavioral biology, and later received her Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia. She completed her general surgery internship and urology residency at the University of Texas at Houston/MD Anderson Cancer Center. In 2018, she received special recognition by the Society of Women in Urology as a finalist in its Outstanding Resident category. Dr. Barrett-Harlow completed her sexual medicine and prosthetic urology fellowship at Urology Centers of Alabama.
She is a member of an array of professional organizations including the Society of Women in Urology; the Sexual Medicine Society of North America; the American Urological Association; and the International Society of Sexual Medicine. Additionally, she has co-authored several urology abstracts and publications and has given presentations at professional conferences in the U.S. and abroad.
Dr. Barrett-Harlow specializes in sexual medicine and prosthetic urology, with a focus on erectile dysfunction, male incontinence, Peyronie’s Disease, and testosterone replacement. “I appreciate the depth and breadth of urology, and the fact It’s a surgical specialty that allows for continuity of care,” she explains. “Receiving satisfaction from a patient and allowing them to experience an enhanced quality of life is the most rewarding part of my profession.” Additionally, her work with penile implants, used to treat erectile dysfunction, has been recognized as a Center of Excellence by Coloplast.
