New Tours and Tour Leaders 2024–2025!
VENT is pleased to offer an enticing lineup of NEW tours to NEW destinations in 2024 and 2025. These new tours are among the 150 plus departures we will operate in each of the next two years. Whether you are still new to VENT, have taken one or two tours, or participated on ten or more, we are confident that any number of these brand-new trips will be of high appeal. Many of these tours will be led by outstanding VENT tour leaders with whom you are already familiar, while others will feature guides new to the VENT community and whose names you may still be getting to know.
For the next installment in the VENT Webinar series, Barry Lyon and Victor Emanuel will showcase the exciting new tours VENT has in store for its travelers this year and next. Illustrated with photos, maps, and tour specific information, their presentation will take the audience to six continents in profiling a suite of domestic and international departures. New tours to Argentina and Peru in South America; Indonesia and Japan in Asia; Bulgaria, France, Portugal, and Scotland in Europe; and Rwanda on the great continent of Africa are some of the new trips and destinations you’ll learn about. This presentation also offers the opportunity to learn about VENT’s newest tour leaders, including Scott Baker, Mark and Mayumi Brazil, Kevin Burke, Mark Garland, Remigio (Remi) Grefa, Brad McKinney, and Doris Valencia. He has lived in Austin, Texas since 2004 when he joined our office staff as an assistant to company president Victor Emanuel. In 2014 he was named Chief Operating Officer (COO), reflecting his increased experience and responsibilities. These days, his work is geared primarily toward the company’s business side and management, although he continues to lead a few tours annually. Barry’s background and his knowledge of natural history have provided him with a strong interest in conservation. He is a former board member and past president of Travis Audubon Society, which emphasizes conservation through birding and outdoor education for children. Barry resides in South Austin with his wife, Brooke Smith.
