Leen is a doctoral researcher in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Bath. Her research is around designing sensory feedback for upper-limb prostheses. She has developed an appreciation of the importance of interdisciplinary engineering during her MEng in Integrated Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. She is expanding her understanding of how disciplines are interlinked by considering the psychological factors affecting the success of different designs in her research. Besides research, Leen is an active member of the Women in Engineering Society at the University of Bath (WESBath) and is passionate about promoting engineering through outreach.
