    Ann Marie Nie is a globally recognized expert in wound, ostomy, and pressure injury prevention. She has dedicated her career to advancing evidence-based strategies that improve patient outcomes and reduce hospital-acquired injuries.

    A Cincinnati native, Nie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the College of Mount St. Joseph University, followed by certification in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing at Emory University School of Medicine. She later obtained a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Northern Kentucky University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Nursing at The Catholic University of America.

    Nie’s passion for wound healing is driven by its profound impact on patients' well-being, emphasizing that maintaining skin integrity is essential to preserving a sense of wholeness. Her work continues to shape best practices in pressure injury prevention and wound management worldwide.
