Throughout the presentation will be exposed the impact of new technologies on the ID documents field and how to migrate traditionally printed ID documents to secure digital versions. The potential economic impact of digital ID documents will be also addressed with a special focus to new digital business platforms. Finally, R&D projects developed by INCM in partnership with national research institutions in the digital security and cryptography fields will be presented.

Ph.D. in Engineering Design and Advanced Manufacturing, from University of Minho and Biomedical Engineer with a Master degree in Medical Electronics. More than 10 years of experience in industry, regarding his experience in coordination and execution of R&DI and engineering projects.
