About This Webinar

The Union Cabinet approved the new National Education Policy (NEP). It is the center of discussion and all higher education institutes want to understand what lies ahead. Hence, we are conducting an online panel discussion - 'Collegedunia Connect' to bring the stalwarts of Higher Education together on one platform, wherein we would want to discuss how the new policy is going to shape the future of Education in India.

Agenda
  • NEP 2020 aims to increase the Gross Enrolment Ratio in higher education from 26.3% to 50% by 2035
  • At least 3.5 crore new seats will be added to higher education institutions
  • The new policy aims for “broad-based, flexible learning”, institutions to focus on becoming multidisciplinary by 2030
  • Pursuing a Ph.D. will now require either a Master’s degree or a four-year Bachelor’s degree with research
  • National Educational Technology Forum (NETF) to ramp up digital learning
  • World’s top 100 foreign universities will be “facilitated” to operate in India
  • All higher education institutions, except legal and medical, to be governed by Higher Education Council of India (HECI)

    Dr. Vikas Misra
    Director of Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies, Udaipur
    Dr. Vikas Misra did his B.E in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pune in the year 1995. After his graduation, he worked in Goodlass Nerolac Paints limited, as Project Engineer for more than three years. After that he joined Govt Engineering College KNIT, Sultanpur as faculty in Mechanical Engineering Department, also from KNIT Sultanpur he did his Masters in Technology in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Industrial System Engineering and was the topper of the university. He then went to pursue a Doctoral Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Currently working as Campus Director in Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies Udaipur since July 2017, before that he served as Director with Allenhouse Institute of Technology Kanpur from 2012 to 2017, has published more than 47 research papers in various journals of repute, visited Florida and Mexico to present a paper in international conferences, also is a reviewer to several international conferences of GITMA and Florida.

    Dr. Yogeshwari Phatak
    Director at Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore
    Dr. Yogeshwari Phatak has been associated with Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore, since November 1994. She took over as Director - PIMR on November 1, 2008. Dr. Phatak has her prior experience with Nagpur Doordarshan, Admas Advertising Company, Nagpur, and Gajra Bevel Gears, Dewas. She did her Ph.D. from the Institute of Management Studies, DAVV, Indore.

    Dr. Phatak is a recognized Ph.D. guide by Zoroastrian Society, Bombay and Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidhyalaya, Indore and 9 research scholars have been awarded Ph.D. under her guidance. She was on Governing Body member of State Resource Centre for Adult Education Bhartiya Grameen Mahila Sangh, Indore, and on the Advisory Board of MPSE Institute of Knowledge Management and AIESEC, Indore.

    Dr. Deepika Dhand
    Pro Vice-Chancellor - MATS University, Raipur
    Dr. Deepika Dhand did her BA(Hons.)-Political Science from Delhi University & went on to pursue MA-Political Science from Lady Sriram College, Delhi University. Later on, she also pursued MA- English from Indira Gandhi National Open University, LLB from Barkatullah University, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh & Ph.D.(English) from Ravi Shankar University. She has taken an initiative in bringing about leadership in Classroom Management & to bring about practical orientation or experiential learning in English. She is an effective instructor in English, enhancing good LSRW (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing) Communication Skills in English.
