    Ravi Jayasekera
    Chief People Officer, Hemas Holdings PLC
    Ravi Jayasekera is the Chief People Officer of Hemas Holdings PLC, Sri Lanka. With over 20 years in HR leadership, Ravi is known for his ability to transform organisations through innovative, people-focused strategies.

    Ravi's career began in the banking sector, starting in business roles at ANZ Grindlays Bank before transitioning to HR. He has held senior HR leadership positions at Standard Chartered Bank and HSBC, including roles such as Head of HR for Sri Lanka, Australia, and Mauritius, and in Group HR at HSBC. His notable achievements include leading the People and Culture transformation at Union Bank of Colombo following its acquisition by TPG.

    As Vice President of the Association of HR Professionals, Ravi champions community building in HR and advocates for continuous upskilling of HR professionals.

    Farid Basir
    Chief People Officer, MBSB Bank
    Farid is a distinguished professional with over three decades of experience across diverse industries, offering a wealth of expertise and insight. His international career includes expatriate roles in Switzerland, South Africa, and the Philippines before his return to Malaysia in 2014.

    Farid holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Studies with a specialisation in Human Resource Management, and has completed advanced business and leadership programmes at Cambridge Judge Business School, Oxford Said Business School, INSEAD, and IMD. He is also accredited with four global professional certifications: HRCI-HR Management Professional, HRCI-Global HR Professional, SHRM-Senior Certified Professional, and Global Remuneration Professional.

    His professional achievements have been recognised on an international scale. Notably, he received the "Upcoming Personality in Islamic Finance 2017" award at the Global Islamic Finance Awards (GIFA) 2017 in Kazakhstan and the "CHRO of the Year" award at the World HRD Congress 2018. In 2022, he was honoured with The Asia HRD Awards for his exceptional contributions to human resource development.

    Farid is an active board member of the Malaysia Productivity Corporation and TalentCorp and serves as Vice President of the Malaysian Employers Federation. He is also an Adjunct Professor at UNITAR and a member of the National Labour Advisory Council, a national tripartite consultative mechanism chaired by the Minister of Human Resources.

    Recently, he served as the Chef De Mission for the Malaysian contingent at the Touch World Cup 2024 in Nottingham, having previously represented Malaysia in two Touch World Cups. In addition, Farid is the Project Director for Dapur Bantu Siswa, an NGO dedicated to social impact.
