This Lunch & Learn presentation will discuss the historical significance of the Threatt Family Farm and its centerpiece, the Threatt Filling Station. In 2020, a Historic Structures Report noted the Station was in disrepair requiring extensive rehabilitation, and in 2021 the Station was included in the National Trust for Historic Preservation's List of America's 11-Most Endangered Historic Places.

OKSHPO proudly presents four cousins - the grandchildren of Allen and Alberta Threatt: Rev. Allen Threatt III, Linda D. Fisher, Edward D. Threatt, and Charles David Threatt. They, with a few other members of the family, have combined their talents and resources in an effort to preserve, rehabilitate, and reopen the Station as an Oklahoma destination ahead of the U.S. Route 66 Centennial.

Rehabilitation work began in 2021 and is ongoing with installation of a museum/interpretive center and other exiting activities still to come, but the project is nearing completion.

Please join us for an appreciation of life on the "Mother Road" in Oklahoma at the Threatt Filling Station and Threatt Family Farm.
