BluCr® trivalent hard chrome - The green technology with outstanding properties
About This Webinar
Chemical regulations around the world are heralding the end of conventional hexavalent hard chrome plating. As one of the world's leading suppliers of hard chrome processes, we have been dedicated to developing sustainable hard chrome plating processes for decades. With the introduction of the first commercial functional chromium plating process based on trivalent chromium, we have taken a major step towards this goal. The BluCr® technology is a leading alternative to conventional hard chrome processes that is not only sustainable but also meets all the requirements of hard chrome plating and even goes beyond them with an additional process step.
The BluCr® technology boasts a multitude of significant advantages, ranging from its environmentally friendly chemical composition to its remarkable physical properties. The performance of its deposits can be favorably compared to that of hexavalent chromium plating processes, exhibiting excellent hardness, and outstanding abrasion resistance. Additionally, BluCr® technology excels in corrosion resistance, particularly in high chloride-containing environments. The unique features of BluCr® technology deposits enable chrome coatings to be polished, machined, and welded according to the specific requirements of end customers.
The following topics will be comprehensively covered:
• Chrome(VI) ban: Why do we need alternatives
• BluCr® technology: Chemistry benefit | Deposit structure | Superior deposit properties
• Process operation (electrolyte operating parameters & equipment)
• Applications and customer case studies
• Q&A session
